“Worked through the proper plane my hands and arms should be taking in the backswing. More vertical less horizontal. Worked our way through PW up to 7i. Short session for longer clubs to follow. As always these lessons are some of the more enjoyable aspects of golf!”

Good to know

Questions, answered.

How do I book a lesson?

Use “Book an in-person lesson” to see current availability and book directly into Matt’s workplace diary. For online coaching, visit Matt’s Skillest profile. You can also call Matt with questions.

I’ve never held a club before. Is that a problem?

Not at all. Loads of complete beginners start here, and the starter sessions are built for exactly that. You don’t need any experience to begin.

What should I bring?

Got your own clubs? Bring them and your usual golf shoes. No clubs yet? No stress, just mention it when you book and we’ll let you know what to expect.

Do you coach kids?

Yep. Junior coaching is a big part of what we do, from first swings to competitive young players, everything up to elite junior level. Sessions stay age-appropriate and genuinely fun.

Should I do private or group lessons?

Private lessons give you individual attention and a plan for your game. Group lessons offer a shared learning experience with friends or other golfers. Not sure which fits? Ask when you book and we’ll point you the right way.

Where are lessons held?

In-person lessons are based at Melbourne Golf Academy, 385 Centre Dandenong Road, Heatherton VIC 3202. Contact Matt to confirm the meeting point for your session, especially for on-course coaching. Online lessons are available through Skillest wherever you play.
